Coloring page Boy Playing Trumpet for New Year

A smiling boy holds a trumpet to his lips and lifts one leg above a round platform. The instrument points to the left, and its wide bell takes up much of the space beside his face. Both hands hold the trumpet, whose curved tubing creates smaller areas to color. The boy wears a striped, pointed party hat topped with a star-shaped decoration. His big eyes and open mouth give him a joyful expression. Curly streamers, tiny pieces of confetti, and stars float around him, adding to the New Year theme. Thick outlines separate the parts of his outfit from the open spaces around him. Rectangles repeat along the edge of the platform, while small ovals decorate its surface.

At school, this illustration can be used for a group coloring activity during the first class meeting after the New Year break. Looking for repeated shapes helps children practice close observation and compare details of different sizes. This printable coloring page for kids features a boy surrounded by decorations for welcoming the New Year. The finished pictures can spark a conversation about different ways to celebrate the start of the year. A trumpet has a flared bell that helps project sound outward. Try yellow and orange on the trumpet to make its wide bell stand out from the narrower tubing. Use short strokes with colored pencils to fill the small spaces, starting close to the outlines.
