Coloring page Santa With Gifts by the Fireplace
A smiling Santa holds a ribbon-wrapped gift above an open sack full of packages. His long beard falls over the front of his suit, and his pointed hat ends in a large pom-pom beside his shoulder. Wide cuffs frame his hands as he holds the box, which has a bow with rounded loops on its lid. Behind him is a fireplace with stockings hanging on either side. A garland of greenery decorated with round ornaments stretches across the mantel, with a large bow in the center. Candles with clearly outlined flames stand at each end. Two more wrapped presents sit in front of the sack, giving the bottom of the scene plenty of spaces to fill with color.
At school, this coloring page can be used for December art lessons before students put together a class display of holiday artwork. Following the outlines between Santa’s beard, suit, and gift helps children practice recognizing shapes in a detailed illustration. This festive printable for kids combines the large areas of the sack with smaller decorations above the fireplace. Comparing the sizes of the boxes offers a chance to talk about bigger and smaller. The loops of a bow give this decorative knot its distinctive shape. Try red and gold for the bow above Santa to highlight its pretty loops. Use colored pencils to fill the narrow ribbons with short strokes that follow their outlines.
